The only con is that darker colors are going to show cat hair. I am going to purchase a second one so I can rotate them but I will order a lighter color. They vinyl like backing provides an addition barrier to accidents and even after washing (gentle, low heat) is still working great. Fit is perfect, as we went with the XL for our couch that is 72″ across inside the armrest. The rear vinyl grips and stays in place much better on our lazyboy cloth couch. So we’ve not used the straps since they are not really needed. Unlike our previous cover that had to be repositioned daily. The flaps really work. Overall, this cover represents a well thought-out improvement over the previous design. Five paws!
