Overall Impression
We have leather furniture and a puppy – not a good combination. She was always trying to lie on the sofa and chew toys or bones. I tried to place a towel down because I thought it would be easy to wash and put it back down again, but she was always trying to “dig” at the towel and scrunch it up. This little product fixed everything. My pup took to it immediately. She readily accepted it as “her place” and is more than happy to lay on it and chew or even just take a nap. It is easy to clean – just toss it in the washer. I air-dry mine, but I suppose you could put it in the dryer. The color looks nice with my brown furniture too. Happy with the purchase.
Quality and Durability
Pillow material a little flimsy but overall a great value for 30 bucks. I bought 2 different colors. First the grey to match other accessories. Didn’t it look good on my deep red sofa because it was a really light color grey with almost a white/grey back. Also, the cushion a little floppy and the stretch attachment was really overstretched. Seems like it was a bit used. The front flap over the seat is a good length (not to short or long) but the overall width on the seat is smaller than expected. Good space for my 10 pound puppy. So if you have a dog over 15-20 pound, you may want the larger one. To replace the color, I purchased a brown/tan back and it’s perfect. Fabric is stiffer and keeps pillows from flopping to the side. Color blends better being darker. Feels brand new. The elastic was much tighter but still a little long. So I have a solution listed below. Overall, I have to say the attachment that slips between the seat in the back (to hold the pillow cover in place) is ingenious. Well done except for the clips. They could easily tear into a leather seat, unknown until it’s to late, so I purchased a small (completely smooth edged) oval ring clip. Then slipped the elastic thru the 2 small pillow loops and attached only one ring to connect the elastic. That shortens it by half the stretch and snuggles between the seat cushions perfectly. I would highly recommend it.

Got the medium. Glad I did as I was able to tuck in the corners. So far, so good! Seems pretty well-made and I think that it should do a decent enough job to help us control the dog hair on the couch. The XL is the perfect size for our 65-lb. pupper. My only concern as of now is the visible zipper on the top of one “arm” (shown in the picture) as I’m sure Maddox will find it and start chewing it in no time if I don’t find a good way to hide it or secure it. The company should have put that zipper in a less-visible location. We are currently using several bedskirt pins to secure it to the couch — the plan is to remove those as soon as we’re sure this will stay put, but its not immediately clear that the anchors alone are going to be enough to hold it in place (but that might just be our couch). Here’s hoping! I will update this review if problems arise after using this for a while.
